We will never request sensitive personal information (passwords, Social Security numbers, full credit card details) via unsolicited email, SMS, or instant messaging. All legitimate correspondence will originate exclusively from the domains @huronsmithoil.com and @hsolubricant.com.
02. Identifying Phishing
Phishing attempts often mimic legitimate companies using fake domains. Be cautious of urgent requests, spelling errors, generic greetings, or suspicious attachments. When in doubt, do not click links; manually type hsolubricant.com into your browser.
03. Reporting Suspicious Communications
If you receive a suspicious message claiming to be from HSO Lubricant:
- Do not reply or click any links.
- Forward the email as an attachment to legal@huronsmithoil.com, including full headers if possible.
- Delete the message from your inbox and trash.
Our security team will acknowledge receipt within 24 business hours and investigate. We will inform you of the outcome within 5 business days.
04. Internal Measures
We implement SPF, DKIM, and DMARC email authentication to protect our domains, and provide regular anti-phishing training to our employees. We also encourage users to enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) where available.
05. Limitation of Liability
We shall not be liable for losses arising from successful phishing attacks where you fail to exercise reasonable vigilance. Always contact us directly through official channels if you have concerns.
